New Delhi:
Puneet Jaggi, one of the founders of the electric cab company BluSmart, was taken by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) from a hotel in Delhi, according to reports. He was staying there for about a week.
The ED is looking into a case that involves another company Puneet Jaggi helped start, called Gensol Group. They also searched Gensol’s offices in Delhi, Gurugram, and Ahmedabad.
This case is about money matters under a law called FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act). The trouble started after SEBI, a group that watches over markets and stocks, shared a report. The report said there may have been wrong use of money, fake companies, and even using loan money for personal use.
The Power Finance Corporation also made a complaint to the police and the Economic Offences Wing. Sources say Puneet’s brother, Anmol Jaggi, is in Dubai and hasn’t come back yet. The ED might ask their wives some questions too, as they were found in Pune.
The ED could also begin a new investigation for money laundering
